Chillies are one of the main crops in Zimbabwe and Mozambique. Our client did not have a developed brand like other major categories in the market such as tomatoes, apples and beans. We needed to create a simple yet visually striking brand that would initially appeal to a Zimbabwean audience, but would would also be effective in a global setting if the product was to be introduced to other markets.
Research showed us that the idea of strength is at the heart of Zimbabwean family culture. So we incorporated this idea, together with an African aesthetic, to the name and logo. An engaging strap line challenges the viewer.
Since introducing the brand to various markets throughout Africa, they have seen their branded revenue increase from $80k to $518.
